HubSpot is a powerful marketing and sales platform that is becoming increasingly popular. But what exactly does HubSpot cost? In addition to a free CRM, HubSpot offers several paid packages for marketing, sales and customer service. As of March 5, 2024, HubSpot is using a new pricing model. Costs are now based on the number of users with editing rights (Seats) instead of a fixed entry price per Hub. This impacts HubSpot's overall cost. From a 'Hub based' to a 'Seat based' pricing model

Previously, organizations paid a flat monthly fee to purchase a HubSpot Marketing Hub, CMS Hub and Operations Hub, regardless of the number of users. Sales Hub and Service Hub were already partially charged based on Seats, but now this method applies to all Hubs.

As of March 5, 2024, HubSpot distinguishes between two types of Seats:

  • View-Only Seats: Free and intended for users who only need visibility into the system but cannot customize anything.
  • Core Seats: Paid Seats for users who need editing rights, such as creating workflows or editing templates.

The fixed monthly fees for Marketing Hub, CMS Hub and Operations Hub remain, including some standard Core Seats. Additional Core Seats must be purchased separately.

Marketing contacts and number of users

The cost of each package varies not only based on the tools available, but also on the number of marketing contacts and users. HubSpot offers by default the ability to store up to 1 million free non-marketing contacts, such as suppliers and employees. Marketing contacts, which you use to run campaigns, are limited per package and additional contacts incur additional costs.
