The most important HubSpot updates of February 2025

HubSpot is constantly evolving, with major and minor updates daily to improve the platform. These innovations are based on valuable customer feedback and make your user experience even easier and better. Every month, Bright keeps you updated on the latest HubSpot updates. Here are February's most important updates!

Update 1 (Featured): Smarter automation with 'Ask Breeze' in workflows

AI is becoming increasingly important in automated processes. With the new 'Ask Breeze' workflow action in HubSpot, you can use AI to analyze, categorize and process data within your workflows.

How do you deploy this?

Say you want to automatically sort companies by industry, but that information is missing from your CRM. With "Ask Breeze," you let AI analyze the company website and determine the appropriate industry. Then you automatically divide companies into the appropriate lists.

In addition, you can use this action to generate hyper-personalized content for marketing campaigns (available for Marketing Enterprise).

Want to know how to deploy this AI action? Our colleague Teun made a video explaining how to optimally use 'Ask Breeze' in your workflows. Watch it now and automate even smarter!

Update 2: Make your CRM visual with color options for properties

HubSpot introduces a small but powerful update: you can now assign colors to property options. This helps you gain insight into your data at a glance and act faster.

How do you deploy this?

Example 1: Use red, yellow and green for a custom "status" property, so you can immediately see which deals are crashing. Example 2: Give lead types a unique color so you can more quickly distinguish between inbound and outbound leads. Example 3: Color code buying roles (e.g. decision maker in blue, influencer in orange, user in green), so you can see at a glance who you're addressing in a deal.

Want to see how it works? Our colleague Ruben made a video about it! Check it out via Settings > Properties > Edit Property > Field Type > Option display mode and discover the possibilities.

(Available from Marketing Hub Pro, Content Hub Pro, Customer platform Pro)

Update 3: Optimize conversions with A/B testing for CTAs

As of now, you can run A/B tests on your Call-to-Actions (CTAs) in HubSpot's new editor. This lets you test two variants of a CTA and find out which one performs best based on clicks and views.

How do you deploy this?

Say you're promoting a white paper and are unsure between "Download now" and "Get your guide. With an A/B test, you split the traffic 50/50 and choose the most effective CTA based on data. This helps you to continuously optimize and increase your conversion rate.

Wondering how to use this new feature? Our colleague Teun made an interesting video in which he explains step by step how to set up an A/B test and analyze the results. Want to get started with this? Go to your CTA, click on Actions > Run a test, and find out which CTA works best! 🚀

(Available from Marketing Hub Pro, Content Hub Pro, Customer platform Pro)

Update 4: Measure the success of your CTAs with form submissions after a click

HubSpot update CTA form submissionFrom now on, you can see in HubSpot how many form submissions result from a CTA click. This helps you better understand the effectiveness of your Call-to-Actions and how well they contribute to conversions.

How do you deploy this?

Say you have a CTA that directs visitors to a demo request form. Thanks to the new feature, you can see exactly how many people not only click on the CTA, but actually fill out the form. This gives you a clear picture of which CTAs are really making an impact and where optimization is needed.

Want to analyze your CTA performance? Go to the Analyze tab on the CTA dashboard or view a CTA's individual performance page.

(Available from Marketing Hub and Content Hub starter)

Update 5: Balanced ticket distribution in Help Desk

HubSpot update balanced ticket assignmentAs an admin, you can now enable the "Balanced ticket assignment" option within Help Desk. With this, you no longer distribute tickets randomly, but based on the number of open tickets an agent already has. The agent with the fewest open tickets will be assigned the new ticket, allowing you to better balance the workload within your support team, regardless of which channel you use (email, form, live chat, WhatsApp, etc.).

Why is this important?

Until now, email and form-related tickets were randomly assigned, leading to inconsistencies in workload distribution. With the new option, you can ensure that tickets are distributed evenly, giving your support team a fairer workload.

For new channels, the Balanced option is set by default. Want to change the setting for existing channels? You can easily do so through the Help Desk settings.

(Available from Service Hub Pro)

Update 6: Customize your tracking URL

HubSpot update UTM urlAs a marketer, you want your campaign reports to always be up-to-date and accurate. That's why there's good news! You can now edit or delete your tracking URL in your campaigns, providing even more control over your campaign tracking.

Why is this important?

By gaining full control over your UTM values, you can better track and optimize your campaigns. This makes for cleaner, more reliable data, allowing you to make data-driven decisions faster. For example, you can easily adjust or remove an incorrect UTM value without worrying about inaccurate data.

Example: Imagine you have a campaign with an incorrect UTM value. Instead of relaunching your campaign, you can now quickly edit the value and improve the data in your reporting.

(Available from Service Hub Pro)

Update 7: Preview when editing Lead & Health Scores.

HubSpot update lead & health score previewBuilding the right Health or Lead Score can be challenging. Often it feels like a gamble to determine which rules and weights work best. Good news! With the new score preview, you can now see the impact of your score settings across thousands of records, without testing each record individually.

Why is this important?

With this feature, you can see the average score and score distribution for both total score and thresholds at a glance. This makes building score rules a much more intuitive and insightful process, allowing you to make the right choices for your Lead and Health Scores faster.

Example: Imagine you've set up a new scoring rule, but you're unsure if the settings are producing the right results. Now you can use the score distribution preview to see how the rules affect thousands of records. This will help you optimize the scores immediately.
